Katsudon

I usually cook my own meals on Saturday, however since I started going to Pen Cafe, I’ve ended up almost always eating takeaway. However, recently, I realized that it had been a while since I last cooked, so I decided to make something this time. I ended up cooking Katsu-don.

I used some frozen Katsu that I had cooked previously, so it was actually quite easy and quick to make the entire meal. Unlike Japan, since Katsu isn’t readily sold precooked and cut for you, I often try to cook large amounts of Katsu pork or chicken and put them in the freezer so I can easily prepare some Katsu-don whenever I feel like it.

I think I still need a bit more work to get it looking like the ones in the resturants, but it tasted nice.
