Negima! Vol.25 Limited edition OAD box set arrived!!

On the same day that I received my new Wacom drawing tablet, I also received the limited edition OAD box set of Negima Vol.25. Apparently this is the last part of the “White wing (Ala Alba)” OAD series for the manga, so I was looking forward to watching this DVD and the the manga to see what happened next.

I always buy my Negima manga from the Japanese online bookshop called They have a point system which I like that credits you 1000 yen worth of points for every 10,000 yen spent.

Anyways, I had preordered this through bk1 quite a while ago, and had been really looking forward to this day.

When I opened the manga, I noticed quite a large anouncement on the back of the cover page. Apparently the OAD series was so popular that a 2nd new OAD season was given the go ahead. Apparently this new series will cover the events that occur in the magic world. It seems that I have to start preordering some more. The website reports that the new series will be a 4 part OAD production rather than 3 parts like this one.

I have already read the manga twice. As for the OAD DVD, I watched it once so far. The video is as exected, true to the manga, and is done very well. I am very satified with it.

By the way, I found that in Vol.25, the fight that Rakan-san had was very interesting. It was a battle scene that surpassed my imagination. (^^;)

My wife would love that she is a huge Negima fan 😀

I’m sure she would. The OAD DVDs that come in the bundle are really good. They have been following the manga very closely and really makes me want to see another Negima anime series.

Too bad they plan to do the magic world part of the series in OAD format.. It’s costing quite a bit to import these limited edition volumes of Negima, but still so worth it.

Maybe you can get preorder her the 2nd series of OADs. I hear if they get enough purchases, they’ll make either a movie or a new anime series. (^o^)

the manga is in japanese right? and it’s this the limited edition?

Hi Jose, thanks for the comment.

Yes, the manga is a limited editon and is completely in Japanese. It comes with the OAD DVD and a collectable Pactio card.

I think by now, you would likely have trouble getting the limited edition of volumes 23, 24 and 25 as they are first press only releases and are probably all sold out now. 🙁

If you really want those volumes, I think may have them in stock but at a very expensive price.

In the blog however, as I said, there is a 2nd season, and that will start on volume 27 onwards for I think 5 book releases if my memory is correct. That one should already be available for preorder from bk1, amazon japan and other japanese book shops online.

So far the OAD DVDs have been of exellent quality, however this first season ended just before Negi’s party heads off to the magic world. So I really want to get the 2nd season as I’m dying to see that part animated.

I think the OADs will definately be released in the US as well.. The earlier, not as good quality ones that were just full of fanservice and were pretty bad have been released already with both bundled into one DVD disc.

I’m glad that the newer OADs are much better. Which reminds me, I have to preorder my copy already! ahh!

Hi, can you tell me please how use the BK1 points? Because always though they only use only for descounts in japanese shops or donate to a ONG something like that ^^UU
Thank you in advance.

Hi Erika, to use the BK1 points, you can use it as if it was yen to pay for your books or shipping. So if you have say 500 points, you can buy a book worth 500 yen, or if you buy something for less, you can have the rest pay for the shipping.

During payment, there is a checkbox to let you choose to pay using some of your points if you choose to do so.

You can also decide to use the points to make a donation or can be used as yen to buy items at different shots in the point mall.

I typically just use it to pay for more books next time I make an order.
