White Knight Chronicles

This weekend, I planned to write in this blog a lot earlier, but it ended up being a lot more busier than normal. I actually wanted to work on continuing my Garage kit figure and writing more blog entries, but I only got to do a bit of both this weekend.

Friday, I had Karate class and on Saturday morning, I had Jujitsu followed by Tennis. Normally I’d play tennis at 1:30pm on Saturdays, but because of the weather report (36 degrees for Saturday and 39 for Sunday), I was gonna be very hot, and thus the starting time was changed to make it night tennis.

I was actually free on Saturday during midday and all of Sunday, but because of the temperature, I really wasn’t in the mood to do anything, so I ended up spending all my time indoors. I prefer to work on my garage kit outdoors, but today, it was just too hot, so i ended up spending a little bit of time on it indoors. Also, I planned to write more blog entries, but one of my PS3 games “White Knight Chronicles” I had ordered previously arrived, so I ended up playing that all weekend long instead.

The game is an RPG with really incredible graphics. The battle system is much like that of an online game. Well actually, you can connect to a server and do quests with other players, so I guess it is also an online game.. (^^;).

Anyways, The battle system took me quite a while to get used to. You have to customise your own battle commands to use in battle, and I had a hard time trying to choose a decent combination that worked best for me. Anyways, I ended up getting myself addicted to it. I initially felt that I wanted to finish off my other games that I had been playing halfway, but after trying out this new game for a bit, I kinda forgot that I was only trying out the game, and before I knew it, I had been playing the game for hours.

 shirokishi game

By the way, I ordered myself a copy of the latest Negima drama CD from HMV’s webpage. It was 3000 yen, but once it was converted to Aussie dollars, it was a bit more than I would normally pay. Still, since I had already bought the Negima OAD Limited edition manga which came with DVDs and a box, I decided that I wanted to complete the set.

Also, the “Megiddo” game I preordered and mentioned previously should be arriving soon. I am looking forward for all my shopping to arrive this week.

Hi Tim,

Like the new blog. I see you are using WordPress, too. Great piece of software, isn’t it? I’m thinking of migrating all my blogs to WordPress when I find the time.

I didn’t know you were also into tennis. Maybe we can have a game one day. I might skip taking you on at Karate (though I used to do it) or Jujitsu, though. 😉

Hi Darren,
Thanks! It took me a while, about a weekend, to migrate my blogs onto WordPress. I essentially copied and pasted every entry on my Japanese blog and translated a bunch of posts for my English blog to get it started.

I did it so that I could back up my blog in case my blog hosting service vanishes one day. Also found that Ameba blog was a bit inflexible about exporting your blog, and didn’t support external blog posting tools which I can now use.

Yes, I also play a bit of tennis myself. Have been watching the Australian open on TV lately too. 😀

As for playing each other, if get the chance to head in your direction, I’ll definitely let you know so we can have a game. 😛
